Portal Showcase

f:view declares the beginning of a JSF page.

General Usage

This tag provides some attributes for page customization, such as contentType, encoding or locale. Since JSF 2.2 it is possible to make a page transient by setting this attribute to true. This means that the page state isnt stored anymore, hence causing all @ViewScoped managed beans to not maintain their state, but saving memory.
